Notice of Elections
Elections for *all* Parents’ Association Officers, Members-At-Large, and School Leadership Team delegates will take place at the first meeting of the school year: September 15, 2020 at 6:30pm. Parents/guardians are encouraged to run for position by submitting this online form before 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

Elections to be held:
Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 6:30pm, online

Positions to be filled:
Mandatory PA positions:
President (2 people may run as Co-Presidents), Recording Secretary, Treasurer
Other PA positions: First Vice President, Second Vice President, Corresponding Secretary, Assistant Treasurer, Members-at-Large (1 Senior, 1 Junior, 3 Sophomore, 5 Freshman)
School Leadership Team (SLT) positions:
1 Delegate each for Senior and Freshman classes, 2 Delegates each for Junior and Sophomore classes. There will be one (1) Alternate Delegate for each class, to be filled by the “runner-up” candidate (i.e. the person with the highest number of votes other than the winning candidate(s))

How to run for office:
To get on the September 15 election ballot, please complete and submit the nomination form, or the equivalent information by email to: email@example.com. Candidates are encouraged to submit a one-page bio, with photo, in English and Chinese, to share with the Stuyvesant community ahead of the election, and speak for up to 60 seconds during the election meeting.
All “parents” of current Stuyvesant High School students are eligible to run for office, except those also employed by the school. “Parent” is a parent (by birth or adoption, step- or foster-), legally-appointed guardian, or person in a parental relation.
Nominations must be submitted before 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. All submissions will be acknowledged by email. If you do not receive an email acknowledging receipt of your nomination within two days of its submission, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and advise you did not receive such confirmation.
Term of Office:
The term for each of these positions is one academic year, commencing upon election through June 30, 2021.
