Starting at 5:00 pm Pre-Gala Gathering and Cocktails
Spend time with old friends and make new ones at your Virtual Table before the Gala begins and after it ends! Share stories about your Stuy life: chat about the Robotics team projects, relive the fun of Stuy Squad performances, or share tips on colleges.
How it works:
While purchasing tickets, please indicate what “Table” you would like to join. You can organize your own group of 10 – 15 people — just like in past years — or choose a topic or group of interest and you will be assigned a “table”. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
At 5 p.m. on the evening of the gala, or later if your group prefers, everyone joins their table by clicking on a zoom through a link that will be communicated separately. Once you’re in the main room, you will enter your Virtual Table! See old friends and meet new ones. You can also mingle by joining other “tables”. Volunteers will be there to help.
At 5:50 p.m. you will join the Gala for a fun-filled festivities, after which you can rejoin your table for more chatting. We haven’t had many chances to socialize over the past year — we’re excited about this opportunity and look forward to seeing as many of you as possible!
To add some fun, one of our fellow parents has designed Stuyvesant Cocktails just for the occasion! Read the recipes, purchase the ingredients, mix up the drinks, and you’re set to toast the Stuy community!
Recipes and discounts on ingredients will be available (check back soon!)
6:00 pm Spring Fest Gala
Celebrate and support the talent, passion, and dedication of our Stuy students, faculty, and staff!
What to expect:
Throughout the evening, enjoy student performances created specially for the Gala. Students and faculty are working hard on new choral and musical numbers. Delight in a solo by a Broadway-bound Stuy student. Marvel at the ensembles and vocal numbers. The Stuy Squad never fails to delight with Evening Flow, hip hop, and modern dance pieces. The Robotics team will showcase their award-winning skills!
Live Auction and Paddle Raise
Five exciting items — a high value guided college application package by one of the top companies in the field, a collectible gold coin, and a NYC Getaway right next to Central Park will be up for auction. David Goldstein, a professional MC, comedian and auctioneer, will lead us through a live auction, where attendees can bid with their phones, tablets and laptops. After the live auction, we’ll hold a paddle raise, to raise support the Stuy.
Every year, the PA relies on this event to raise about ⅓ of our annual budget. We rely on your contributions to underwrite our school’s clubs, publications, academics, and other extracurricular. We were not able to hold this event last year so let’s keep the funding going. Let’s support our Stuy community!
Toasts and (short!) Speeches
Famous alumni including Paul Reiser will be toasting the Stuy Community. Hear from our Principal Yu and PA Co Presidents Alex Shafran and Connie Hsu, and let’s raise a glass to celebrate the dedication and resilience of our students, faculty, and staff over the past year.
Raffles and Photo Share
Don’t forget to purchase a raffle ticket to donate and be entered to win an iPhone 12 Pro, Air Pods Pro, or a $150 Gift Card. The drawing will be held at the end of the Gala.
Throughout the evening please share your images of yourselves at Spring Fest which will be posted during the Gala. Everyone that shares an image will be entered in three separate drawings to win free Spring Fest merch. Extra points for creativity and glamour!
